Águilas is a town in the Region of Murcia, in the Costa Cálida. This seaside town has 28 km of coastline and this, together with its enviable average temperature throughout the year, makes it one of the most popular tourist destinations of Murcia.

Its tourist attractions include highlights such as the Hornillo pier, the castle-fortress of San Juan de Águilas, the marina and its distinctive lighthouse, which has been in operation since the mid-19th century.
The Archaeological Museum, the Roman Thermal Baths, the Cope Tower (16th century) and the steam train monument are other places that just must be visited as well.

Águilas has 28 km of coastline with 35 beaches with different types of sand and different landscapes that range from coves and virgin beaches in natural spots to the urban beaches of Águilas town.
It has a warm climate right through the year with an average annual temperature of 22º, with mild temperatures in the winter and hot temperatures in the summer.
Águilas is surrounded by the mountain ranges of Sierra de la Carrasquilla, Lomo de Bas and Sierra de la Almenara, which join together in a network of trails that converge in part of the Nature reserves of Cabo Cope and Puntas de Calnegre. Águilas is a perfect place for snorkelling, water sports, hiking and golf.
